From Inspiration to a Dream Come True

One of our lovely brides from 2010 brought in this inspiration photo. She really liked the lushness and texture of this bouquet and fell in love with the pearl detail. At Sisters, we always want to give the bride whatever she wants for her bouquet. So, we took the bride's inspiration and used our special touch to make her magazine photo come to life for her wedding day. Take a look.

Sahara Roses

Saharas are one of our favorite roses to use. They have an awesome neutral tan color with just a hint of blush pink. They are one of the most versatile roses and work great with any color combo. Here is a shot of a white peony and Sahara rose bouquet that Sisters did recently.

The Saharas are medium-sized compared to most other roses. What they lack in size they make up for in lushness. They open very wide to reveal their rich sand-colored centers. Consider Sahara roses when choosing your flowers.

Peonies in November!

The last weekend in November is not typically the time of year that you would expect to see peonies. Our bride, Sara, really loves peonies, so we did all we could to get them for her bouquet, even in the off season. Here are some photos taken by Chelsea that show just how gorgeous these November peonies were!

We mixed the white peonies with sahara roses for this lush bridal bouquet.

Not every seasonal flower will cooperate and be this pretty or even available when they are out of season. This is just one of those examples of good fortune and all the planets being aligned just right!! Sisters Flowers will always try to make their clients happy--even when it means ordering June peonies in November!!

Brown and Pink

Pink and brown have become very popular colors for weddings. Here is how one of our brides incorporated that scheme into her wedding.

(Photos by Nordmann Photography)

This beautiful bride is Lindsay. She chose sahara roses, blush pink hydrangea, and looped brown pheasant feathers for her bouquet.

The bridesmaids carried bouquets of blush pinks and brown pheasant feathers, as well.

The centerpieces carried over the pink and brown theme into the reception at the Coronado. These tall arrangements had blush pink hydrangea, curly willow, and pheasant feathers.

Shorter arrangements on the opposite tables were tight, round and all blush pink.

Congratulations and bests wishes to Lindsay and Ryan!! It was a pleasure working with you!!

Snapshots from our bride....

Here is a preview of the wedding of Kim & Chris. They sent us these cute snapshots of their fun, fall day in October.

Kim and her girls. Kim carried sahara roses and pearled stephanotis. The bridesmaids had hot pink rose and stargazer lilies.

Just married......

(Notice the cute pink wreaths on the aisle. They were used to mark the family pews.)

The whole, happy wedding party.

The centerpieces were tall trumpet vases with hot pink gladiolus with bronze alstromeria lilies.

Our best wishes to Kim and Chris!!

A special thanks to our "happy bride" for sending us these pictures!!
