Can the bride's flowers be different?

Often, we get asked by clients if it is ok for the bride's bouquet to be different from the bridesmaids. Sometimes they are asking about color, and other times they are referring to the type of flower. In either case, it is perfectly fine, and common, for the bride to be set apart from everyone else in the wedding party. Here is an example from the wedding of Jen and Tanner.

Jen carried large and mini white calla lilies, green berries, and looped lily grass.

The bridesmaids bouquets were green hydrangea, pink gerber daises, and ivory waxflower filler.

In this case, the bride's bouquet was more sleek and classic, and the bridesmaids carried bouquets that were lush and garden-y.

All the flowers from the bouquets were tied into the reception with two different centerpieces. Half of the tables had tall trumpet vases with large callas and lily grass (from the bride's bouquet). The other half of the tables had short cube vases filled with the lush flowers of the bridesmaids' bouquets.
