Pops of Color

Sometimes having a pastel color scheme doesn't mean you should shy away from bright colors. Here are two weddings that had somewhat subdued color schemes with pops of color.

The bride's bouquet had peach and white accents to her bright pink peonies. Her bridesmaids' bouquets stayed very subdued in just whites and blush pinks.

The centerpieces at the Piper Palm House carried through the pastel peaches and pinks with the pops of pink peonies.

Another bride we had that same weekend also used a pastel color scheme and added in pops of orange. Her bridal bouquet was a very sweet mix of ivories and blush pinks with bright orange ranunculus to accent.

Her bridesmaids carried a slightly brighter version, but still with the ivories and pinks.

Bright kissing ball for the flowergirl!

The centerpieces at Eden Seminary also had pops of orange mixed in with gardeny whites and blush pinks.

Bright colors can mix well with pastels and add an extra "pop" to your event.

July 4th Wedding

We all got a very special treat this past July 4th --unseasonably cool weather with clear skies. What a gorgeous day for a wedding! Here are some of our own snapshots of the wedding of Maria Hickey and Robert Altman. (Maria is a news producer at KWMU. Check it out! http://www.kwmu.org/info/onair.php ) The morning ceremony and reception were held at Piper Palm House in Tower Grove Park, which was a wonderful setting for the summer day.

The Bridal Bouquet was a pink and white mix of mini calla lilies, roses and spray roses, waxflower, and cymbidium orchids.

Wedding at Piper Palm House

Here is a sweet, elegant, spring wedding where Sisters designed the flowers. Karen, the bride, chose the Piper Palm House for both her ceremony and reception this past May 24th. The ceremony was held inside and the reception was in an outdoor tent next to the ceremony. A big team of vendors helped make this event beautiful. Exclusive Events helped with decor and lighting. Patti, from All Dressed in White, coordinated the event and was on hand that day to make sure everything went smoothly. Kudos, Patti!!

All bright pink gerbera daisies and peonies were carried by the bride.

Bouquets of hot pink gerbera daisies and spray roses with jade berries accented the bright green bridesmaid dressed.

The happy couple.

Even little ladies like flowers!

Tall and short garden-y arrangements of curly willow, alstromeria, orchids, and lilies tied in the bright colors from the ceremony.

It was a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding!
