Wedding at the Fox

We had the pleasure of doing the flowers for Jamie and Andy's wedding in September. They got married and had their reception at the Fox Theatre downtown. Take a look at these great shots! Some were taken by the "Sisters" and the professional pictures are by Browers.

Jamie's bouquet was lush and full of fall shades. It included asiatic lilies, calla lilies, circus roses, purple statice, and greenery around the edge.

Cute, Cute, Cute!! (Photo by Browers)

The happy couple was married on the stage with all their friends and family looking on.

The centerpieces were full arrangements of red roses and purple filler in cube vases. Two different heights of the same arrangements were used.

These taller vases were used on the wedding party and family tables.

Best wishes to the bride and groom!!
Special thanks to Browers Photography for the great shots!

Dominie's Fall Wedding

Here is another look at our friend Dominie's wedding that we helped out with this past fall. She had a warm, fall color palate that looked absolutely GORGEOUS at the ceremony and the reception.

(Photos by David Tsai)

Lookin' good, Dominie!!

These bouquets were some of our absolute favorites from this year. Dominie carried a classic, all white bouquet of roses, hydrangea, and waxflower. The bridesmaids' bouquets were fall hydrangea, circus roses, and waxflower.

Look at how those colors POP against their dresses!

This shot really showcases the different textures in the bouquet.

Here are just a couple of shots of the reception. There are many more in our previous blog ("Trees at the MAC").

Our rental trees were decorated with these full, lush flower wreaths, covered in crystals, and accented in candlelight.

The opposite tables had these warm colored arrangements of wedding flowers.

Sending all our love and best wishes to the bride and groom!! Thanks for letting us be creative !

Fall Wedding at the Chase--Take Two!!

We just got more shots of the wedding we did at the Chase a few weeks ago. (We also blogged about it in an earlier entry.) The bride and groom, Susie and Sandeep had two ceremonies--an American ceremony and an Indian ceremony. These photos tell the story of their day....

All of these photos were taken by a friend of the bride and groom, Michael Hersh.

First, the Indian Ceremony.....

The groom makes his traditional grand entrance.

The beautiful colors and textured fabrics made the orange circus rose bouquets stand out.

Then, the American Ceremony....

Brightly colored bouquets of fall colored flowers helped usher in this ceremony's fall theme.

The lovely bride.

All of the bouquets were a mix of the fall circus roses, orange orchids, burgundy coxcomb, and berries. The bridal bouquet had an accent of ivory ranunculus to give hers a little more of a distinctive look.

Last, but not least, the party!!
Guest tables were decorated with high and low centerpieces of all the wedding flowers and curly willow. (Check out the previous blog for more shots of the centerpieces!!)

Fantastic fall on the cake!!

All our best to the happy couple!!

Fall wedding at the Chase

Fall is one of our FAVORITE seasons here at Sisters. Not only is the temperature a little more desirable, but the colors and flowers that we get to work with are out of this world! Here is a great example from this past weekend at the wedding of Susie & Sandeep.

Susie's bouquet had a rich, fall color tone. Circus roses, jade berries, red/burgundy coxcomb, ivory ranunculus, and orange orchids brought all the colors of the season to the ceremony.

We loved how the ivory ranunculus seemed to "peek" out of the bridal bouquet.

In the bridesmaids' flowers, we added cocoa berries in place of the jade, and omitted the ranunculus to save the ivory for the bride.

The reception decor in the Khor Sahn Ballroom at the Chase Park Plaza reflected the same fall color scheme from the ceremony. Half of the tables had these lush cube vases filled with all the wedding flowers.

The brown ribbon accent around the cube vases tied in the brown berry accents from the flower arrangement.

The other half of the tables had these tall trumpet vases, filled to the brim with curly willow, berries, roses, and fall hydrangea.

The soft amber lighting combined with the colors of the fall flowers gave the whole room a warm, autumn, glowing feeling.

We enjoyed working with Engaging Events by Amy on this event. Thanks, Amy, for helping make this wedding an awesome experience for us! Best wishes to the bride and groom!!

Last weekend's snapshots

Here are some pictures of the bouquets from last weekend that we took before delivery:

This was a beautiful bridal bouquet in true fall color and style. Deep royal purples (lisianthus, stock, and mini callas) and reds (roses, coxcomb) made a rich, lush arrangement to be admired by all! It was seasonal, but still very romantic!

Here is an example of using fall seasonal flowers without having an autumn theme. This bridesmaid's bouquet has a background of green hydrangea and berries with pink roses and dahlias. Dahlias are a fall flower that come in a large range of colors from oranges and reds to pinks and whites. They are a great for use in lush, garden-y arrangements.

Here comes the bridal bouquet! What an awesome combination of the pink dahlias with ivory roses and hydrangea, accented with pearled stephanotis. So bridal and elegant!
