Best Men and Best Friends

This is a great story about two weddings that Sisters Flowers helped with in 2008.

Max and Adam have been life-long friends. When Rachel and Max were married August 31st at Forest Park Golf Club, it seemed natural that Adam would be Max's best man. Rachel and Max had a bright and sunny wedding day and Sisters was there to do the flowers and decorate our chuppah for the ceremony.

(Rachel and Max enjoy time with their wedding party. Kneeling on the left is the best man, Adam.)

(Sisters' chuppah decorated for the ceremony outdoors at Forest Park Golf Club.)

Six short weeks later, Elizabeth and Adam (Max's best man) had their wedding and reception at the St. Charles Convention Center. Of course, Max supported his friend by being Adam's best man. Once again, Sisters Flowers was there to help out with the flowers and chuppah decor.

(Elizabeth and Adam enjoy their wedding day. Best man and former groom, Max, is right of the groom.)

(Sisters' decorated chuppah was a part of Adam and Elizabeth's ceremony.)
How awesome for two good friends to be a part of each other's special day!
We were delighted to be a part of both weddings and help out two wonderful couples!

Sisters Wedding Show Booth

Emily, Shelly and Chelsea had a great time at the Busch Stadium Wedding Show this past Sunday. Here are some snapshots of our booth. As always, our brilliant in-house photographer, Chelsea, took these great shots!

We took three bouquets inspired by our colorful design boards. We also set up our Crystal Moss Tree to show off a different "enchanted" look for our rental trees.

We did a variety of colors and textures for our show bouquets. We were even able to include some spring and summer flowers like tulips, peonies, and iris!

This version of our crystal trees included hanging moss balls, hanging Spanish moss, and a lush moss base with green orchids. It was moss-some! (Look for more detailed shots in a blog coming soon!)

Shelly and Chelsea are ready to talk to some brides!!

It was a great show with tip-top vendors. We had a lot of fun and even let our hair down a little in the photo booth provided by Photobooth STL. Take a look!

Ceremony and Reception at Soulard Preservation Hall

Here is a unique way to use flowers for a ceremony and reception all in one location. Our clients for this event double-used ceremony and guest table flowers to decorate their space. The room was used for the ceremony and then turned over for the reception.

Cube vases filled with white hydrangea lined the stage for the ceremony. Afterwards, they were used for all the guest table decorations.

Julep cups with white hydrangea decorated the chairs at the ceremony and were later used to decorate the reception as well.

Our tall metal trees were set up on the stage to frame the bride and groom for the ceremony. They were left up for the reception and provided decoration in the room.
This was an excellent example of how flowers can be utilized fully at an event. It just takes planning and design work to make it happen seamlessly!
