Sweet Summer Wedding

Stacie and Ben were married this past June. Here are some great pictures of their ceremony and reception. They were such a great couple to work with!!

All the bouquets were a mix of greens and pink. Stacie's was lush and full with peonies, roses, orchids, stephanotis and hanging amaranthus to trail.

The reception was a the Ritz. We had two different centerpieces--one with branches and one that had a round, ball shape. Both carried through the greens and pinks and both had hanging amaranthus.

Best wishes to Ben and Stacie! It was a pleasure working with you and your families!

Bright and Fresh

This wedding had such a refreshing seasonal feel for early summer. Crisp whites, yellows and greens were the main colors.

These bouquets, in the window at the church, were what the bridesmaids carried. The bridal bouquet- held below by a bridesmaid- had the same flowers but with added green cymbidium orchids.

We think all of our brides are gorgeous!

The guys' bouts. were a mix of green hypericum berries and yellow solidago.

The centerpieces at the City Museum were a mix of high and low arrangements. The tall vases included hanging votives that added an extra ambiance once the lights were dimmed.

Sisters Studio Re-Do!

Check out what we have been working on here at our shop! We did a complete re-do of our studio and consultation areas here at the cottage. We have updated and re-arranged to keep our showroom interesting!

Here is our new and improved entryway. We had help from Aries who provided us with a cocktail table, place settings, and linens. We decided on fresh, bright colors to really wow our guests.

Next, our sitting room and showcase area has been really changed around! We have featured our crystal tree and some of our other work in this room as well. We have LOTS of awesome photos on the wall and, of course, our new T.V. to scroll pictures of our flowers on a slide show.

The beautiful photos that are seen throughout our studio are by some of our favorite photographers-- T. Kratzer, Luke Walker, Lace, Artisan, and Zettl, just to name a few!

Our consultation room has been improved as well. We have more table and designs showcased throughout the room.

These bright linens and the cool chiavari bar stools are also on loan from Aries.

We are very excited about the changes! We hope to bring even more elements of sophistication and style to our clients who meet us at our studio!

What a Great Night for the Louies!

Sisters Flowers was proud to be a part of the 2009 Louie Awards for the St. Louis Chapter of ISES. Sisters is a member of this special events vendor networking group. Every year, ISES gives out awards (or Louies) to vendors who have shown excellence in their specific fields and categories.

We were also on the planning committee for the awards banquet. Sisters was able to provide all of the centerpieces for the tables. Here are some of our snapshots of the event held at the Foundry Arts Centre in St. Charles.

"Wine and Dine" was this year's theme, so the linens and decor reflected the rich color and texture of a Tuscan winery.

We did three different centerpieces for the tables. This was a taller urn with hydrangeas, roses, hanging amaranthus, stock, and curly willow.

The tallest of the three centerpieces were these arrangements done in our silver stands with hanging votive candles.

The same flowers were used in these lower footed urns.

As members of ISES, we were asked to present the award for "Best Lighting" to a fellow vendor. Here are the presenters, Emily & Shelly.

One of the best parts of the evening is when Sisters Flowers won an award for "Best Floral Design"!!!! We submitted one of our weddings from last year (see the blogs from Nov. and Dec. '08 entitled "Trees at the MAC" and "Dominie's Fall Wedding") and it was picked out of a field of other fantastic floral vendors. We were very honored to be recognized.

Here are Emily & Shelly accepting the award.

We thanked all of our awesome employees and the other vendors that helped with the event. It's hard to think of things to say in front of a crowd!! :)

Thanks to ISES and all the other vendors for a great night!!

(And thanks to our husbands, Jess and John, and Emily's daughter Jennifer for being our dates!!)
